Amy & Jamie's Wedding - Tewkesbury Abbey
Both Amy and Jamie's days started in Tewkesbury. At different places I hasten to add! Jamie and the guys got themselves ready at Jamie and Amy's flat. While Amy and the girls (with Mum) had rented a mews cottage just a stone's throw from the Abbey for their bridal preps.
It was a good job the cottage was so close to the Abbey. The plan was, that once the preps had been completed and it was time to leave, Amy, mum and her bridesmaids would make the short trip from the cottage to the Abbey on foot. Yes you got it, the minute the cottage's front door was opened it started to rain!
The shower of rain did give me the opportunity of grabbing a couple of lovely documentary shots of Amy and the girls coming into the Abbey with umbrella in hand.
After the ceremony and some formal shots in the grounds of the Abbey it was off to The Thythe Barn, Bishops Cleeve. One of the highlights of the day for me (or should I say the evening) was a surprise dance for Amy by Jamie and the groom's party - absolutely superb, it went down so well. This was followed by a cool down outside to get some night time sparkler shots of the newly weds.
